Drop-in Center / Basic Needs Assistance:

  • We provide food, clothing, hygiene products, school supplies, transportation assistance, and financial aid for immediate needs.

  • You must be a transition-aged youth (ages 16-24) experiencing temporary hardship. We prioritize youth who are in supervised care, LGBTQ+, pregnant or parenting, homeless, or separated from their families.

  • You can visit our main office at 260 S. Acadian Thruway, Monday-Thursday, 10 am - 6 pm. You can also call 225-240-8137. We also have outreach workers who can meet you at community centers or other locations.

Housing Assistance:

  • We provide emergency shelter, transitional housing programs, and short to long-term housing placement assistance.

  • You must be a transition-aged youth who is experiencing homelessness or at risk of homelessness.

  • The length of stay varies depending on individual circumstances, but generally, it's up to 30 days.

Emergency Shelter:

  • You can call our drop-in hotline at 225-240-8137 or visit our main office at 260 S. Acadian Thruway during operating hours.

  • We maintain a safe and supportive environment with rules regarding curfew, substance use, and respect for others. A full copy of rights and responsibilities will be provided once you arrive.

  • We provide meals, basic hygiene supplies, case management, and connections to other resources.

Transitional Living Programs:

  • Depending on your needs, we offer various programs that provide safe housing, life skills training, employment support, and education assistance.

  • Submit an intake request here or call 225-286-7312 to discuss your options and eligibility.

  • The program length varies but generally ranges from 6 months to 2 years.

Diversion Services:

  • We offer alternative programs and support to help youth avoid entering the juvenile justice or foster care system.

  • We provide counseling, mentoring, conflict resolution training, substance abuse prevention programs, and educational support.

  • You can be referred by a school counselor, probation officer, or social worker or contact us directly at 225-286-7312.
